The Americana at Brand – A reader writes: The Americana at Brand in Glendale, CA is BEAUTIFUL!!! There are 2 private nursing rooms plus 2 private rooms with changing tables and complimentary wipes, diapers, etc. These are just off a play area with games and a flat screen tv that is constantly running some sort of cartoon for the older children that a mother may have. The rooms are in the back of the concierge area, by the women’s bathrooms. The mall is up-scale and very kid friendly.”

June 16, 2008SeaCoast Grace Church - A reader writes: “SeaCoast Grace Church – main campus – has a designated New Parents room for kids 6months and under. Not specifically for nursing (dads and other family members come sit too, but I like the chairs and it has volume and light controls and a big tinted window to watch services through. Ladies room has a baby dock – one of those pull-down-from-the-wall things for changing.”
Oakland International Airport – CA
July 5, 2007OAK – A reader writes: “Nowhere whatsoever, and the airport staff was not particularly helpful. The regular bathrooms have oversized stalls so they didn’t have a dedicated family bathroom. If I had been there during business hours, and I was desperate, I could have rented a private office cubicle at a place called “Laptop Lane” for about $15 for 15 minutes. Instead, I used the time to buy fresh batteries and pumped on the plane in my seat, covering up as best I could with a blanket. (Fortunately, the ambient noise on the plane was so loud that I couldn’t even hear the pump myself.)”

Lullabye Lounge - A reader writes: “Really nice lounge for nursing moms. It used to be the family bathroom and was converted to a nursing room. Has a flatscreen TV and huge comfy couch, baby changing area, bathroom area for little ones learning to potty train as well. Really deluxe! Only downside that I see to this is if dad happens to have the baby–I am not sure men would be allowed in to change baby, unlike before when it was a family bathroom.”
