DFW – A reader writes: “Family restroom in Terminal D (with outlet and counter, but nowhere to sit) was recommended by the extremely helpful and sympathetic volunteer staff as the best place to pump. This one was much more deluxe, with a marble-type counter and better air circulation. I felt badly about tying up the room for half an hour, but the volunteer staff said not to worry.”

I was a corporate pilot and travel through DFW when I was working. I was completely appalled that they had nowhere to pump. The workers were extremely rude and I could not find any one to help me find a location to pump. I was finally told to use the “family restroom” to pump. All I can say is YUCK!! Dirty, nowhere to sit and a small sink to rest my pump on…believe me it was better pumping on Southwest in the lav. People were constantly knocking on the door and when I told them it would be a while they just kept knocking. I even went so far as to open the door with my pump attached just out of frustration..come to find out it was the cleaning lady and it was time to clean the nasty bathroom. So needless to say I didn’t pump my full time, gather my stuff up and left angry. Not a way to be treated as a nursing mom!! Next time if I’m anywhere near Terminal D I will have to check it out. Unfortunately I was on the other side of the airport.

At DFW Terminal D right now and there are at least 2 options. I am using one of the assured care restrooms. There is a marble seat and there is an outlet (though the outlet is not near the seat). It is a large clean bathroom!
