Kenwood Town Centre – Kenwood, OH

March 27, 2007

Kenwood Town Centre – A reader writes: There’s a family lounge, baby changing stations, family restrooms with toddler sized toilets/sinks, and a separate nursing room.  I poked my head in,to the nursing room and it looks comfy and private.  The remodeling was
finished after my son had weaned, and I’m super jealous of the moms who
have that option.

King’s Island – Mason, OH

March 27, 2007

King’s Island – A reader writes:  Just inside the kiddie area (Nickelodeon Universe) is a little building shaped like a house.  You can park your stroller outside, and inside find rocking chairs in a quiet room for nursing/feeding, and a separate diaper changing area.

The building was air conditioned, and I remember it being fairly clean.
The nursing area was quiet, but we were also there on a less crowded day.
There are other diaper changing areas in the park in restrooms, but I much
preferred the Baby Care Center.

For those who don’t mind nursing in public, there were plenty of benches
throughout the park, many of which are in out of the way areas for those
distractable babes.

The Somerset Collection Mall – Detroit, MI

March 5, 2007

The Somerset Collection Mall – A reader writes: “This is the very high-end mall in Detroit(Troy suburb) and it does not cater to children, but I have found that the Macy’s(in the North part of the mall…the mall is actually set up in two separate buildings connected with a skywalk) has a large lounge inside the women’s restroom. It has two couches and would be perfect for nursing. It is very clean and pleasant.”

Nordstrom – A reader writes that this store  and one in Twelve Oaks Mall, “have family restrooms, women’s lounges as well as ‘mother’s’ rooms located inside the women’s restrooms near the children’s departments.  In addition to the comfy seats they have wonderful changing stations built in with soft pads and a sink right next to them.”
