Calgary Airport – A reader writes: It’s a lockable room near the washrooms near gate A16 (there are probably more, I just wasn’t in other parts) and has a glider, room to change a baby though no actual change table, a sink and paper towels. It’s marked with a sign with a baby instead of a man or woman or wheelchair.

Westroads Mall – Omaha, NB
February 12, 2007Westroads Mall – A reader writes: This mall has a WONDERFUL “family rest area”, with two private nursing rooms; in the main lobby area there are large changing stations, comfy chairs just to sit and rest in (or you could nurse there if you wanted, it’s still rather secluded from the mall corridor), and two or three family bathrooms. This area is right by the indoor play equipment, so Dad can take the toddler to go play, while I nurse the baby. The private nursing rooms (with locking doors) are really great, I use them almost every time we go. Beautiful neutral color scheme, a nice rocker for nursing in, BIG mirrored wall, and plenty of space, if needed, for the whole family to be in there…our double stroller, Daddy, Mommy, the toddler and the baby all fit! I wish I had a nice quiet room like this to nurse in at home! It’s climate controlled like the rest of the mall, and can be a real life saver when everyone just needs a few minutes of quiet time, and baby needs a mom-drink. I wish all of our malls had them!

February 12, 2007Babies R Us – A reader writes: The Babies R Us in Ogden has a mothers’ room. It has a loveseat and comfy chair, along with a small table with a lamp, and a changing table. They also offer free bottle warming, for those who use bottles. The only downside is that I didn’t notice a lock on the door, which doesn’t bother me, but some more shy people may be bothered by the fact that other nursing mothers may join them.
Babies R Us – South Portland, ME
February 12, 2007Babies R Us – A reader writes: There’s a Mother’s Room at the back of the Babies R Us in
South Portland. The room, which seemed clean enough to me, has a
couch, glider, and double changing station with diaper genie and extra
dipes (but ONLY in newborn sizes!)

Macy’s – A reader writes: There’s one of those sitting rooms in the Macy’s at the Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. It’s on the bottom floor in the bedding section in the back. It’s through the doors to the ladies room, but there’s another door that goes to the actual restroom area. It’s got a couple of sofas and looks pretty comfortable, although I can’t know from personal experience as I’m not nursing *yet*.
